Katie is a busy highschool student with lots of interests and lots of opportunities in her life. Like her siblings, she likes to be involved in a variety of events and learning experiences. The photos shown here are an assortment of some of those activities over the years.
She started getting involved in performing at an early age with a community / church performance at the Oregon Trail commemmoration that included a cast of hundreds as well as live horses. It was a very exciting production and there was a CD of the music produced and sold.
Katie has been in the school music program playing the flute; in the swing dance class, and in a dance performance class. She has recently enjoyed taking a part in drama.
One of the things that Katie learned to enjoy at an early age, was swimming. She has also developed a great love for tropical fish decor. Now that she is beginning to drive, she may find that way of travel as enjoyable as being in the water, however
Katie loves the water, the beach, and mostly hanging out with her friends.
Being the baby of the family gives Katie plenty of exposure to friends of all ages that spend time with her siblings. Her sister, Kendra is a hero to her!
At the magical age of sixteen, a young lady gets to begin her dating experiences! Katie attended the Highschool prom in June 2003 with her best friends Sarah and Emily and their dates. They had a wonderful time and made lots of special memories. The theme for the dance was "Roaring Twenties" so they dressed within that theme.
